What are Lions?
Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 200 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.
Known for working to end preventable blindness, Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters.

Who Are Lions?
Lions are men. Lions are women. Lions are young. Lions are old. Lions are of all religious faiths. Lions are of all nationalities. About the only qualification you must have is that you must be willing to help your community. Some members are autoworkers while other are doctors. Many are retired and don't work at all, and still others are dedicated housewife’s, or househusbands. So whatever your age, sex, or occupation may be you will fit right in.
